Deutsche Telekom’s stand at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) 2018 made visitors experience and explore the potential of connected life. Thanks to numerous live exhibits, visitors could immerse themselves in the fascinating world of digital possibilities – from hologram technology to virtual reality entertainment in real time.
The network of the future, 5G, was omnipresent at the stand which was designed as an ultra-modern, smart city. The power and speed of 5G were impressively illustrated by the Smart Alley: The walk-in, immersive exhibit was designed as a multi-racer game in which the visitor navigates virtually through a futuristic urban scenery through his own movement.
One of the staging highlights was the 360° panorama wall that surrounded the entire exhibition stand. Following the post-digital aesthetics of the award-winning computer game “Monument Valley”, it created a surreal celestial scenery that literally “takes the viewer into the cloud”. Graphic objects seem to float freely in space, nature, architecture and technology combine to form a new world in which the laws of perception seem to be suspended. The panorama formed an ideal setting for Selfies and invited visitors to share their impressions on social media.
